Good News! XUYU Optoelectronics Selected in MIIT's First List of Advanced Applicable Technologies

On February 26, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of China announced the First List of Advanced Applicable Technologies in accordance with the Notice on the Selection of Advanced Applicable Technologies (First Batch) (MIIT Department Letter [2024] No. 398). Among the honorees, Shenzhen XUYU Optoelectronics Co., Ltd.’s self-developed “Novel Low Blue Light, High Efficiency, Healthy Full-Spectrum LED Technology” was successfully included in the list.

The selection of advanced applicable technologies aims to implement the Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Transformation and Upgrading of Traditional Manufacturing Industries (MIIT Joint Regulation [2023] No. 258) issued by MIIT and seven other departments. This initiative focuses on promoting the diffusion and application of technologies to drive the high-end, intelligent, and green development of manufacturing. Targeting industries such as non-ferrous metals, chemicals, general machinery, light industry, and electronics, the selection prioritizes technologies with leading advantages, proven practical applications, rapid scalability, and alignment with socio-economic coordination.

XUYU Optoelectronics’ selected technology integrates the strengths of single-blue-light and violet-light full-spectrum solutions. The product achieves a color rendering index (CRI) of over 97, with general color indices (Ri, i=1-15) exceeding 90, color saturation (Rg) above 98, color fidelity (Rf) over 95, and spectral similarity surpassing 95%. The absolute intensity of blue light is 30%-40% lower than conventional products of the same color temperature, while the peak luminous efficacy reaches 180 lm/W at 0.2W. Additionally, the technology ensures spectral saturation at 480nm, delivering circadian rhythm benefits. It addresses longstanding challenges such as low efficiency and poor spectral continuity in full-spectrum LEDs, while offering high color accuracy and reduced blue light hazards. Supported by over 30 authorized invention patents—including three China Excellent Patent Awards—the technology has also earned accolades such as the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from the China National Light Industry Council, Shenzhen Municipal Science and Technology Progress Award, and Shenzhen Excellent Patent Award.

XUYU’s healthy full-spectrum LED technology has already been commercialized, with applications spanning health lighting, educational lighting, residential lighting, and commercial lighting. It not only enhances lighting quality but also contributes to energy efficiency, environmental protection, and eye health, driving sustainable development and industrial upgrading in the lighting sector.
